She already was fighting anxiety almost every day, and was pretty successful at conquering it. But then she got hit with the scariest thing for a mom. A terribly scary diagnosis for her little daughter.
Yes, this book is from 2009, but it is very pertinent to anyone facing anxiety attacks or scary things in life. Marla learned how to handle anxiety successfully. Today she is a confident, powerful praying woman of God. She ministers to people and God answers her prayers for them. She is also a distinguished bank branch manager.
As a young, stay at home mother, Marla was asked to submit a monthly column in her church newsletter. She sheepishly, hesitatingly agreed to what became an almost ten-year run. In every issue, she shared straight from her heart about her frequent anxiety attacks and bouts of depression. It all came to a head when she heard the word "tumor" referring to her precious little daughter. Your heart will be moved as you read how God used her scary circumstances to bring her to freedom from anxiety and depression and into a more beautiful relationship with Him.
Learn to overcome your own struggles with anxiety and depression by applying the Scriptural Truths that comforted and helped Marla.
Marla truly has overcome anxiety and fear. These posts read like the Jesus Calling book:

About the Author (from Christianbook.com)
Tell us a little about yourself. I am married to a wonderful man for over 30 years and have four adult children and two grandchildren with one on the way. I love to encourage people in their walk with the Lord.
What was your motivation behind this project? Encouragement to anyone who is struggling or needs to hear what God can do in an ordinary person's life. It is a compilation of articles I wrote over a period of ten years for my church's newsletter.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? Hope in their situation and strength to follow the journey. It shows ordinary situations where I found God to be there helping me through.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? It was great to go back and read the posts I had made years ago and know how far God has taken me on the journey to freedom.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I am studying Bethel's School of Supernatural Ministry. I love to read anything from Bill Johnson and Danny Silk. My favorite fiction authors are Bodie Thoene, Francine Rivers, and Lynn Austin.
